Halkey Roberts Style valves are the most common valve used on iSUPs, inflatable drop stitch kayaks and White water rafts. This is a complete replacement for a halkey roberts style valve. Included is the valve cap (available separately here if you just need the cap), valve body and valve base. You will need the valve spanner/tool to install (not included). Valves tools are found in most iSUP repair kits. These kits are supplied with reputable SUPs so you should have already or available here . The valve tool is needed to undo the old valve for removal and tighten this new one into position. Halkey Roberts style valves are found mainly on higher pressure inflatables and are not common on pack rafts, or lighter rafts that run at a lower pressure. These will often have a leafield or Boston Valve. To install Remove existing valve using a valve tool (Spanner) Clean the area Install the new valve using a valve tool (Spanner) Test for leaks. (Soapy water works well- sponge some on and look for bubbles) This valve is made up of two halves one half goes inside the SUP (or whatever it is being used on) the other half screws into this half and the deck (fabric) is clamped between the two halves. There is a layer of fine mesh on the underside to prevent dirt and sand entering the internal structure of the inflatable SUP, drop stitch kayak or other vessel.. This is the complete valve and includes the valve cap but does not include a fitting tool/valve spanner or instructions- you may need to use a glue or sealant on thin or damaged fabric and patch the existing hole if has been damaged.
