It’s the Ultimate Lightweight, Highly Versatile Day/Weekend Sea Kayak The Volan is built specifically for those who want to make the most of day and weekend trips; tracking straight when flat, but swinging round effortlessly when on edge or carving into a turn, the Volan has comfortable performance for both the journey and any play spots you find on the way. The short, 16′ length provides ample hull speed for most adventures, and helps keep weight to an absolute minimum for nimble performance and easy handling. This Volan is the premium light weight version. It’s Carbon Kevlar fibres are Vacuum infused with resin during construction. This construction with premium light weight strong fibres and controlled resin flow increases the durability, strength and reduces the weight over a standard lay up. Built to be sail ready this Volan comes with deck fittings pre-installed on the reinforced deck. Included is a mast foot- see images. Setting up a sail is not a matter of installation it’s ready to go. The Seat is the upgraded “Performance Connect Seat” with hip pads to give you greater connection to the kayak helping with control in any conditions. Hatches and Skeg are all from the premium Kajak Sport brand. The front round and rear oval cover are LRC-HT (Light Rubber Hard Top), The rear Day Hatch is a Click On model (quick push to seal) and the cockpit day hatch is from the original rubber series. All of these are chosen for their performance characteristics to suit the particular hatch’s usage, durability and weight, and make your life easier in use.
